SAP TechEd Barcelona is almost here, just a little over a week to go. You may have noticed that “I’ll Be There” badges are back in SAP Community, so it’s time to get yours! These online badges allow you to see who else in the SAP Community is going, and to connect with other community members while you are at the event.
Maybe you’re newer to the community, and you aren’t sure what the purpose is for participating in this mission? It’s actually a good way to start in-person connections with other members of the community that you’ve been engaging with online. If you’re already following each other, you can DM (direct message) each other and set up a time and location to meet at the conference venue.
So how do you get one of these lovely badges for Barcelona in your profile? Just put a comment on this post to request it. It’s that simple! (Of course, as a prerequisite for receiving the badge, you must be registered for the event already). If you will be attending SAP TechEd in Bangalore, you are still welcome to post a comment here to request a badge too.
We will do our best to turn the badge requests around quickly, but please have patience with us; it may take a day or two to see yours on your profile.
And if you ARE going to Barcelona, please come by the Community Lounge on the show floor (part of the Developer Garage) and say Hello to my colleagues there: Mynyna Chau, Moshe Naveh, and Iris Ostrin.
And get a headshot photo by the professional photographer who will be there throughout the event. It’s free, and it’s a great way to refresh your photo in your new profile on the SAP Community. Craig Cmehil showed just how easy it is to update your profile photo in his recent post: Vegas down here we come Barcelona.
