SAP Partners and Customers Show Us How the Internet of Things Enables the Intelligent Enterprise
SAP TechEd 2018 Las Vegas may be coming to a close, but the technology education continues online! openSAP — SAP’s “Massive Open Online Course” (MOOC) platform — is launching a new course on October 9 all about how the Internet of Things enables the Intelligent Enterprise.
But let’s back up, what’s the Intelligent Enterprise? For SAP, the Intelligent Enterprise is a vision for how we see the future of business for our customers, the future of work for our customers’ employees, and the future of experience for our customers’ customers. This is done by embedding intelligence directly within business processes to automate many routine activities, which then allows today’s workforce to focus on higher value activities like customer success, strategic planning, and innovation.
And what about the Internet of Things? Well, that is the network of physical objects with embedded intelligence to sense their environment and to interact with business systems and each other. And if you connect the dots, you can see how these two concepts – the Intelligent Enterprise and the Internet of Things — intersect.
So that’s precisely why SAP has put together a free openSAP course that shows these concepts in story form, told not only by the SAP team but also by several SAP partners and customers who have successfully gone through the process of implementing the Internet of Things. SAP Leonardo IoT for the Intelligent Enterprise is open to anyone, has no prerequisites, and even covers how IoT works in conjunction with other technologies like Machine Learning and Analytics .
Oh, and one more thing, it also includes an optional ideation challenge in which — for those interested — you can submit and share your own IoT ideas and participate in the process of reviewing your peers’ ideas while having your own ideas reviewed.
Hope to [virtually] see you there!
