Only 38 percent of enterprises see the public cloud as their top priority. However, it is expected that by 2020, 83 percent of enterprise workloads will be stored in the cloud.

Likewise, the computer cloud also allows creating a virtual platform, in which several users can download and transfer data simultaneously in a short time.

Another main advantage of working in the cloud is the availability of access to this service. Currently, the guarantee of being able to access the services of the cloud is very high. In particular, cloud computing providers have a 99% availability guarantee. The remaining 1% corresponds to the moments of service interruption due to maintenance and unexpected errors.

Contrary to popular belief, Cloud Computing can guarantee access and availability of services, which is important today because companies employ more and more nomadic employees. Employees must be able to access all their applications and data without interruption of service. Cloud Computing contracts are therefore very important for customers because they allow precise answers to the guarantees offered by suppliers on SLAs (service continuity levels). The service availability offered by a cloud service provider must be between 98 and 99.99% including server downtime for maintenance or unexpected interruptions.

The cloud is an incredible asset that many businesses are already taking advantage of; however, there are still many that aren’t. If you aren’t fully utilizing the power and benefits that the cloud has to offer such as added security, improved collaboration, and work flexibility,  then it’s time to change that today.
