Are you going to be attending SAP TechEd Las Vegas next week? I’m happy to announce that “I’ll Be There” badges are back in SAP Community, allowing you to see who else is going, and to connect with other SAP Community members while you are at the event.

If you are newer to the community, you’ll find that participating in this mission is a fun way to initiate in-person connections with community members you’ve been engaging with online. If you’re already following each other, you can DM (direct message) each other and set up a time and location to meet at the conference.

Due to the “just in time” arrival of this mission and badge, and to ensure that we follow proper privacy protocol, we are asking you to put a comment on this blog post to request your badge. As a prerequisite for receiving the badge, you must be registered for the event.

We will do our best to turn the badge requests around quickly, but please have patience with us; it may take a day or two to see yours on your profile.

If you will be attending SAP TechEd at one of the other venues like Barcelona or Bangalore, you are still welcome to post a comment here to request a badge, but please note that we are giving priority at this time to awarding the badges to members going to Las Vegas first. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

And if you ARE going to Las Vegas, please come by the Community Lounge on the show floor and find me! I and my fellow Developer & Community Relations team members would love to say Hi.

„What (badges) you earned in Vegas – stay in your profile.“   😉

Wondering if your blog will now turn into the first blog on SAPcommunity(fkaSCN) with more than 4000 comments 😉

Now look at that handsome fellow! The one standing in front of the banner, of course…. 😉

I’ll have to tell you the saga of that particular photo over a beer, and how getting it taken led directly to me spending the last two weeks in the Peruvian jungles of the Amazon basin…
