SAP Cloud Platform takes Grace Hopper Celebration 2018 by storm!
Next week, September 26-28, six SAP Cloud Platform techies will represent the platform at the annual Grace Hopper Celebration. For us, it is very real and very exciting to be 6 out of 22,000 (!) women in tech who will invade Houston, TX, and we are thrilled to represent SAP Cloud Platform in force.
Overall, there will be 120 SAP employees from all areas of SAP that get to attend this year’s largest gathering of women technologists. As the name implies, the Grace Hopper Celebration is not your typical tech conference. It celebrates women – and therefore diversity – in computing and is a mixture of presentations on hot new technology as well as diversity topics with loads of career sessions thrown in for good measure.
As I work in the SAP Cloud Platform space, you might be curious about the technology topics we’re covering, so here’s a sneak peek on some of the interesting tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Systems Engineering, Data Science, Human Computer Interaction, Interactive Media, Internet of Things/Wearable Technology, Open Source, Security/Privacy and Software Engineering. If you’re curious on the specific topics, view the full agenda.
So what is SAP doing there with 120 people?
Nine of us will be presenters in the various formats so if you’re there, check out our sessions:
