The Case

After the Originator sent the Draft to the Authorizer to be approved, the Authorizer wants the Posting to be done from his side, according to that, in the Change Log of that Doc, the Originator will be the Authorizer, and the Draft Originator won’t be mentioned in anyway,

In SAP S/4HANA there’s the ability to know the Draft Originator, Draft Authorizer, Doc Poster, do we have such a feature in SAP Business One?

How to achieve it?

We achieve that, using the APPROVAL STATUS REPORT.

As shown below, you can know the Originator, the Authorizer even after the approval, the document creation, also, status indicates who added the document after approval.

If the status is Generated, it means the document added by the Originator.

If the status is Generated by Authorizer, it means the document added by the Authorizer.

This report can be called from Modules > Administration > Approval Procedure > Approval Status Report or directly from the approved document by right click, which gives you complete tracking on the document history and it is related draft.

Also, you can use Approval Decision Report, which has the same data but with option to approve or reject the draft from inside the report, so it allows the manager to approve or reject multiple drafts at one time.
