The SAP Innovation Awards 2019 are open for nominations! Now in its 6th year (time flies when you are having fun!) we made have exciting enhancements to the program. If you are an innovator, then this is your chance to participate and tell your story.
We are excited to discover and showcase the amazing innovations using SAP products and technologies, especially the ways in which customers are becoming Intelligent Enterprises: doing more with less, delivering best-in-class customer experiences, or inventing new business models and revenue streams.
This year the Awards are open to customers and partners using any SAP product or technology to drive innovation compared to last year where the awards were showcasing the use of SAP Platform technologies.
For those of you who have not participated before, the SAP Innovation Awards are a comprehensive awards program that includes dedicated digital properties and promotion, top billing at SAPPHIRE NOW, regional activities, content opportunities, media and analyst engagement, and more. Check out the 2018 winners.

How to Get Started Today
As you consider participating in the SAP Innovation Awards 2019, first download and check if you are eligible with the new Self-Assessment Tool. Answer all the questions in Step 1 “Eligibility” to determine if you are eligible. If you are, then complete the 2nd and 3rd steps (i.e. Judging and Technology attributes) to get feedback on your entry, and use as a check-list for your submission.
This tool has replaced the “Registration of Interest” process where for the 2018 awards you had to email a form to the awards team to review and provide you feedback and guidance on next steps via email for the project that you were considering to submit.
If you have any questions or issues related to using the tool, comment on this blog or send me or the innovation awards team an email to SAPInnovationAwards@sap.com.
If you are eligible to compete, congratulations!
For the next step prepare your pitch deck, a vital component of your entry. Download the updated Pitch Deck Template, which now allows you to include an optional video for your submission. Also, review the Pitch Deck Guidance Document to get more tips and guidance on how to craft a compelling pitch. You can continually refine your pitch deck until the end of the submission period on February 8th.
Remember, you will need to download and complete an Entry Form with basic information about you and your organization. If you are for example a partner working with your customer to enter, then enter your information in the submitter section and your customer’s information in the participant section. Remember to add your company’s name in the “Participating Partner” field. If your customer wins, you as Participating partner will be recognized.
To submit your entry follow the steps on the submit your entry page.

With the awards expanding to include all solution areas, we are able to highlight and profile customer best practices from across SAP’s product portfolio. I encourage our customers (and partners working with our customers) to submit their innovative success stories and take part in the 2019 SAP Innovation Awards.”
