In my previous blog, we seen how to setup a SAP instance in AWS. Today's short blog is about few points on how to avoid unnecessary extra bills after we are done with our AWS instance activities.

Properly terminating the instance is the key to avoid additional bills and below are the points to monitor.

  1. Terminate the instance

  2. Deactivate all the active solutions under your account in SAP Cloud library

  3. Delete the AWS account link from SAP Cloud library account

  4. Check your bill in AWS account in 1 – 2-day time. Should not have any new charged for any services.

Important to monitor the cost because as most of know such HANA based EC2 is not cheap.

The cost estimation can be obtained from this page, SAP HANA in AWS.
