Drive-in Storage Type
In this blog, the main point is pick the delivery quantity and load them to the delivery vehicle without losing time. This process is designed to speed up to operation. For this purpose, we design storage type named drive-in.
When we do stock removal in warehouse and the drive in storage type works such a bulk storage type. Also, drive in storage type works such a fix bin storage type while stock putaway.
Other details; we need to use capacity check for some materials. For example, we have to reserve 10 pallets for material A and 15 pallets for material B. We manage this process capacity check function with packing material capacity usage. However, i will putaway 10 pallets material A into storage bin 01-01-01. Customer needs to pick up pallets without rule. That is why we use level of avaliability quantity 1 to select manual HU.
Morever, we made two storage types like 0050 and 0055. Actually the whole processes work almost 0055 storage type but if the stock is not enough for the pick and delivery in there, i’ll use the 0050 storage type for the picking and the delivery.

After the created those storages type i made relation between them in the customizing screen SPRO.

I needed to palette capacity for the capacity check so i went to material master additional data for pallette 100×120 that i am using.
Managing capacity check in storage bin that we fill out capacity quantity.
I went to material master additional data for 30000040 to do the conversion of units of measure.
041 means to palette and 031 means to parcel.
After the conversion of units of measure, i made a fixed storage bin that named DRV-TOMATOES with the transaction code /SCWM/BINMAT
When i pick up, drive-in storage type has to manage such a general area. That is why we use functionality of Level of availability quantity. It is choosen Storage bin = 1.
