Hi everybody,

We already have a blog about the Dump Analysis in the Cloud Application Studio:

https://blogs.sap.com/2016/02/04/dump-analysis-an-useful-c4c-studio-tool/

Thanks to alessandro.iannacci

Let me today share a second option to get some more information on what’s going wrong in your code.

Let me start when a Dump shows and the dialog we all know shows and provides us the option to create a ticket directly: DO IT!

Enter a subject and a description priority does not matter and don’t forward it.

Open the incident via the Administration Workcenter.

At the Bottom of the ticket there are some zip files attached that contain a lot of background information on the system the partner solutions deployed and so on. We are only interested in the /SAP/ABAP/RuntimeError, you can download it directly from the Ticket. If you open the xml file in any xml editor or just notepad and search for the <ApplicationInfo> Node, you will see a short description on the error:

In this case the issue is in the UI-designer in the Query: ”Query”

This is not the user-friendliest way to get some more information, but it is the only way I know to get information on errors happening in the UI-Scripting of ByDesign and C4C.

I hope this helps some of you ?

Please share some feedback it’s my first blog.

Best regards

Thomas
