For a Business Partner Identification record, one can enter Valid_from and Valid_to date. If one of the dates are entered, the other one must be maintained. In other words, one should either maintain no validity or both the validity for an Identification record.
Besides data valid_from and valid_to is stored in table BUT0ID.
So system only throws out an error if one of the date_to or date_from field is filled while the other date field is empty. (Message no. R1741 Enter a 'Valid From' date,Message no. R1742 Enter a 'Valid To' date)
To avoid this error, there are two solutions:
Solution one : Make the necessary adjustments to the BP ID, filling in the whole validity.
Solution two : This may not be acceptable to all the users in exceptional cases like birth certificates where "Valid to" date cannot be maintained before hand.
