SBO-COMMON Database in SAP Business One 9.2

The SBO-Common is the core database used in the B1 architecture to store and distribute information common to all company databases.

The common database that holds;

  • System Data,
  • Version Information
  • Upgrade Information
  • doesn’t contain the Patch Level number

Unlike company databases, SBO-COMMON doesn’t store any business or transactional data,

Shared folder B1 SHR that contains

  • central configuration data
  • installation files for various client components,

When connecting to a company database the B1 client or any add-ons using the SDK will look for this database to retrieve specific information.
