The d-shop Nights, a space-time bubble for curious minds

In February this year, we at the SAP Innovation Center d-shop team in Potsdam organized a get-together of tech-enthusiastic SAP colleagues in the Berlin-Brandenburg area. The event was open to all colleagues, to try out new hardware or tinker on a (software or not) project of theirs. Because days are often too full and moonlight is best for creativity, the event took place after work – the first “d-shop Night” was born.

Supported by SAP Labs Berlin team, the d-shop Nights grew and received enthusiastic feedback. Now monthly, the event has kept its DNA: a freestyle format, a laid-back atmosphere and a hands-on mindset. Over its six-month existence, the d-shop Nights brought together over 80 SAP colleagues coming from 12+ different teams in Berlin, Potsdam and Schönefeld.

Students, developers, development architects, business developers, engineering managers, marketing colleagues and many others got together to try and learn new technologies. The success of the d-shop Nights reveals a genuine excitement about tech from all colleagues, and its freestyle spirit continues to catalyze creativity and exchanges across teams.

All SAP colleagues welcome, to come over and be curious together!
