Between April and June this year, SAP Australia welcomed Tom Turchioe, from the Global Center of Excellence team, for a two month secondment in Australia & New Zealand.
Bringing his expertise on Geospatial and on the integration between SAP HANA and Esri ArcGIS, Tom had the chance to explain and demonstrate to customers around the continent the advantages and business value of integrating Spatial to their scenarios.
On this so-called ANZ Roadshow, SAP had the support from Esri & Eagle NZ to co-deliver sessions and help strength the message on the advantages of this partnership.
If you were part of one of those sessions, you heard about SAP HANA being officially released as an ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase, supporting the new Esri Utility Network and delivering GIS acceleration with the speed of an in-memory database.
You might also have heard about our SAP + Esri Early Adopter Program, where customers interested in trying out this joint solution can be presented with a free environment for the period of 8 weeks to test themselves the new possibilities that HANA as an Enterprise Geodatabase brings into ArcGIS.
If not, let me share some of those messages with you! During the secondment I had the chance to interview two of our SAP “Roadrunners” and ask them a few questions. Check out the below videos for more details:
1. Reasons why this roadshow was so important to ANZ customers:
2. What were these customers looking for during discussions:
3. Overall perception of the secondment:
Of course, they couldn’t forget to thank all colleagues and partners involved in a old-fashioned fun way.
