Sometimes we need have items with more than one UoM, for example: 50 Gram, 125 Gram, 250 Gram, … and we need barcode for each one of them, and for these items we have more than 600 items, it’s not logically to enter them one by one manually, especially if we’re using them in more than one company database,

According to that, to work in the most accurate way without any mistakes we must use DTW, the Barcode Template,

Open the required template from DTW Templates > Inventory > Bar Codes

AbsEntry: in case of adding a new data, we should put number series (from 1 to the end of the queue),

ItemNo: the item master data code,

UoM Entry: the code number of UoM in the database, we can know what it via is using Query Generator with (OUOM) table,

Barcode: the barcode number that will be associated with the item code,

After filling out the required data in the template, we should save it as (CSV Comma Delimited),

  • Now, we should open DTW, and start the process,
  • Select Data Type: Master Data
  • Specify Operation Type: Add New Data
  • Select a Business Object: Inventory > Bar Codes
  • Select Data Source: choose the type with CSV format
  • Start Importing Data
  • And we’re all set 😊

Now we can check them out in SAP Business One, via opening the item master data, click on the three dots beside the Bar Code icon, and you can now see the associate barcode with each individual UoM of the item,

you may find the Excel BarCodes Template via this link,

and the complete documentation file, Import Bulk BarCodes via DTW
