Data models are not just diagrams – they’re far more than that

PostgreSQL is a popular open source database platform, with a user base right around the world. By all accounts, data modelling is not very common in the world of PostgreSQL. In an effort to change that, I’ve written a blog post for 2nd Quadrant, a major provider of services for PostgreSQL, showing an example of how a data modelling tool can add benefit when creating data warehouses using the Data Vault approach – based on a demo by Thierry de Spirlet.
