SAP Crystal Report Add-Ins Log On For SAP B1 Hana or SAP B1 SQL

The SAP Crystal Report for SAP Business One new version supports either SAP B1 Hana or SQL end users.

One of the best functionalities of SAP Crystal Report is the Add-Ins.

A Crystal Reports .rpt file that you want to define as a layout or report in SAP Business One Hana or SQL can be saved to SAP Business One automatically by using Add-Ins.

If the Add Ins is not available in the CR Menu, belows are the steps to install it:

Step #1
Go to Crystal reports installation package, and find the directory “SAP CRAddin Installation”

Step#2
Run the application “SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package” as administrator

Step#3

Restart the Crystal Report Application after step#2 is finished. If the Add Ins does not still available, please restart the SAP Hana Database.

Next, when you want to save you layout at the first time in the SAP B1 by using Add-Ins, the Log On windows will appears. it means that you must log on first.

The following picture will show you how to log on. Just do the step#1 – step#4 until finish.

I have marked all the fields that you have to fill or select during the log on. You can use IP or server name either in the License Server or Database Server fields.

Noted that for SAP Hana, the Port # for License Server is 40000 and it is based on the SLD port. The port # 30015 is for Database Server. Good Luck

      Hi Jimmy,

Thanks so much for the blog, much useful.

I have a question related to add-in connection.

      Scenario:

      1. Suppose, I clicked on Edit layout on SO.
      2. It then opened up a CR designer
      3. I made changes and tried to save the layout
      4. Since it's a first time, add-ins ask to enter the connection details, which is fine however it then not saving to the same layout, and we have to rename the layout to save it. Why system doesn't overwrite it?
      5. For instance, I will rename the layout and save it and close the CR designer.
      6. Now if I follow the same process starting from point no.1 above, then again add-in asks to enter the connection details. Why it doesn't retain the connection I set already, though I has closed the CR designer?
