Enable monitoring of IDoc interfaces in SAP AIF in less than 3 minutes!

Hello!

In this blog I would like to guide you step by step how to enable IDoc interface monitoring in SAP AIF.

Nowadays, we have to work with multiple technologies and interfaces. Luckily, SAP AIF allows us to monitor all of the interfaces from one place. Thanks to this we can save a lot of time.

In this short video I would like to show you, that you don’t need to spend half day in order to enable monitoring of your IDoc interfaces in Application Interface Framework. What you need is just 3 minutes!

I hope you enjoyed the video!

In case you have any questions regarding this video – please let me know!

Mateusz, thank you for sharing! Considering this is a blog, after all, you might want to add more text to it. At least provide a summary of what's going on in the video. Otherwise it promises "guide you step by step" but then has no content other than a video link.

Some people might not want to view the video or might not be able to for technical reasons. E.g. some corporate firewalls might be blocking YouTube or someone viewing this on a cell phone might not want to spend their cell data. Also the video could be removed at any time and that would just make this blog an odd stump.

While some things can definitely be explained easier using a video, when we chose to post a blog I feel we need to offer a bit more written content.

      Thank you.

      Thanks for sharing Mateusz,
I would also like to understand use case scenario for enabling Idoc monitoring in AIF. We can do the similar monitoring with SAP standard transaction as well. What type of customization can be achieved for Idocs with AIF.

      Good guide, Mateusz.

Does AIF require a separate licensing?

      Thanks,

      Ilya

      Hello Sagnik.

Yes, on the video you can see exactly this flow – for inbound IDoc. Of course the scenario in the video shows only how to enable AIF for monitoring purposes.

      Regards, Matt
