Enriched HTML5 Fiori web UI

In 10.1 SP07, we enhance our rejuvenated HTML5 Fiori web UI with a series of new and updated features.

Add gadgets to your login page

  • Take our Gadget Template and tailor it to your needs or create anything you like for your login page

  • Add links to your reporting calendar, accounting standards, or any other important information

  • Add contact information such as phone number or email in case users have lost their login and password information

  • Gadgets are built centrally in HTML by your administrator, and can be translated in any language

Display messages to all users in your login page

  • Create and display important messages you want all your users to see (for example an unexpected global platform issue or a planned downtime)

  • Create, activate, deactivate this message using an XML file

  • Define the time range when the message will appear (such as in an Out of Office feature)

  • Your login message appears at the top of the login page

  • The login message is managed centrally by your administrator, you can translate it in different languages if needed

Create your own tiles in the homepage

  • Create your own tiles in the homepage with links to your reporting calendar, accounting standards, contact your internal Financial Consolidation support team, links to specific reports, or any other important information you want your end-users to see

  • Organize your tiles into your own domains, such as “My Corporate Domain” or “My Administration Domain”

  • By default, your tiles and domains appear on top of your homepage

  • Create your tiles and domains in XML via the “Manage Custom Tiles on Homepage” in the user menu

  • Choose who will be able to see your own domains and tiles

  • Tile creation is managed centrally by your SAP Financial Consolidation administrator team, and can be translated in different languages

  • Use our custom tiles Template and customize it to your needs

Display messages to all users in your homepage

  • Create and display important messages you want all your users to see (for example a planned downtime, or a successful end of reporting period)

  • Create, activate, deactivate this message via the “Display Message on Homepage” in the user menu

  • Define the time range when the message will appear (such as in an Out of Office feature)

  • Your homepage message appears at the top of the page

  • Login messages are managed centrally by your SAP Financial Consolidation administrator team

  • Four types of messages can be displayed: Good News, News, Warning, Oops

Choose your report preferences

  • We’ve developed the “Viewpoints” into our new HTML5 web; the feature is now named “Report preferences”; it is simplified and easier to use compared to our legacy web and thick clients

  • You can define report preferences to be applied by default when running reports. For example, if you want to analyze data for data entry period “2019.02”, you can define this in your report preferences - this way, next time you run a report, the data entry period dimension is initialized by default with “2019.02”

  • You can still change these values in the “Select Dimension Members” dialog box if needed before running the report

  • Initialization preferences are the following: Reference period, Data entry period, Period, Category, Scope, Version, Consolidation currency

See your most used reports

  • In the report list, see the reports you use the most, how many times you run them as well as their last execution date

Enriched scopes and consolidations

  • The Comment tab is now available in the scope editor

  • No blink effect any longer in the RU flat view

  • When saving or duplicating a consolidation, its description is now automatically saved in all working languages

Enhanced package editor

  • Save a package directly from an opened local manual journal entry (you don’t need to close the journal entry any longer)

In-app help/web assistant everywhere

  • We’ve developed the in-app help/web assistant for all HTML5 features (previously it was only available for the package)

Extend the in-app help/web assistant to your needs

  • In addition, you can now customize the in-app help/web assistant to tailor it to your reporting needs

  • Would you want to activate the in-app help/web assistant extensibility scenario, please reach out to our SAP Enable Now team at https://www.sap.com/products/enable-now.html

Faster user experience

  • Benefit from a faster member entry across the app – we’ve limited the number of suggested items to 12

Enhanced S/4HANA connectivity

In 10.1 SP07, we reinforce connectivity with S/4HANA, and deliver on a new S/4HANA data monitor tile in the HTML5 web homepage.

New S/4HANA data monitor tile

  • If you import data directly from S/4HANA, a new “S/4HANA Data Monitor” tile in the HTML5 web homepage is now available

  • The S/4HANA data monitor helps you check S/4HANA data extracted, transformed and loaded in Financial Consolidation packages

  • From the S/4HANA data monitor, you can download the transformation log and verify whether new S/4HANA source data is available for download

  • Use the HTML5 web UI S/4HANA data monitor as a dashboard, connected live to S/4HANA and check if S/4HANA data has been updated since your last import

  • Download the log file explaining the transformation from S/4HANA to Financial Consolidation

Streamlined S/4HANA data load

  • From the HTML5 web UI Import tile, before running an import from S/4HANA, you can now preview the transformations defined in the data link definition
