What’s new with Content Innovation 7


In this blog post we will show more details on newly added and enhanced packages with Content Innovation 7 (released 12th of February 2018).


Here is an overview of the updated and newly released packages. Screenshots and further details can be found on the SAP Analytics Cloud Website, in the Roll-out Slide Deck or on YouTube.

Industries

There are 4 new industry packages released or updated with content innovation 7. Let’s have a closer look at each of them:

Healthcare

The existing Healthcare package was enhanced with 2 new stories which are Monitor Quality Indicators and Patient Satisfaction Surveys and Population Health Management:

  • With Monitor Quality Indicators and Patient Satisfaction Surveys you can track organizational attainment of critical measures used for value based care, certification and quality assessment. Gain insight into performance over time and within the organization. Readily identify areas in the organization that are achieving quality goals and those areas that would benefit from performance improvement initiatives.
  • Population Health Management helps you to obtain actionable information on organizational population health improvement initiatives with the ability to drill down by organization, practitioner and individual patient. Identify best practices in top performing physicians for guidance in improving quality care throughout the organization. Analyze the geographic distribution of population health using spatial tools for equitable distribution of patient load and facility planning
Mills Products

The existing Mills Products package was enhanced by adding 1 new story:

  • Production Review: With this new story, you can now review the production performance of configurable product portfolio with regards to quantity, scrap, operation duration and costs of production orders
Professional Services for SAP S/4HANA Cloud (SAP Best Practices)

This package was enhanced by re-working page responsiveness for a better adaptation to different devices.

Retail

This package was enhanced by re-working page responsiveness for a better adaptation to different devices.

Financial Planning & Analysis for SAP S/4HANA Cloud (SAP Best Practices)
  • A new story “SAP Real-time Financial Planning for S/4HANA Cloud” was added which enables analysts or planners to dive into S/4HANA Cloud using a real-time connector (Best Practice Analytics scope item 1U8)
Human Resource Salary Planning

This is an entirely new package consisting of four stories:

  • Overview: Most companies design salary and benefit grids based on paygrades and location. The Overview story assigns a paygrade and location to a newly hired employee and calculates the overall salary cost for this employee.
  • Costs per Paygrade and Location: This provides a platform for the HR responsible to enter all costs (base salary, allowances, pension rates and bonus rates) for each grade and each location. These costs are entered on a yearly basis and yearly level, and are considered only when an employee has been assigned to a paygrade and a location.
  • Employee / FTE Assignment: This story facilitates the process of assigning an employee to a location and a paygrade, using an FTE value (between 0.1 and 1), which also account for part-time contracts. Additionally, a salary adjustment input is possible on the employee level during this process.
  • Overall Salary Calculation: This provides the ability to view the overall salary cost calculation once an employee has been assigned to a paygrade and a location
  • Dashboard: An overall salary cost dashboard gives a summary of the entire application.
Hybris Marketing On Premise and Cloud

This package was enhanced by adding 2 new stories:

  • Campaign Success for Mobile Push Notifications: This story helps you to receive operational report based on campaign success for mobile push notifications for the last three months.
  • Performance of Mobile Push Notifications: operational report for the performance of the mobile push notification campaign for the last six months
Manufacturing for SAP S/4HANA Cloud (SAP Best Practices)

The Manufacturing package is a new Package and consist of 3 new enabling stories:

  • Real-time integration between S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Analytics Cloud: SAP Real-time Manufacturing (Plan to Produce) content for S/4HANA Cloud enables an analyst to dive into S/4HANA Cloud using a real-time connector. Accelerators include a pre-built set of live analytical reports with key performance indicators (Best Practice Analytics scope item 28S).
  • Production Cost Overview, Actual Vs Plan Comparison and Target Comparison: SAP Manufacturing Content for S/4HANA Cloud (Best Practice Analytics scope item 28S) enables users to analyze the complete production cost incorporating Actual and Plan production cost and % cost variance associated with production orders. Accelerators include: Manufacturing models, best practice documentation for integration and business process flow.
  • Work Center Cost Analysis and Variance Report: SAP Manufacturing Content for S/4HANA Cloud (Best Practice Analytics scope item 28S) enables analysts and users to perform work center cost analytics. It provides the analysis by plants, capture the variance in Plan vs Actual cost for Production Orders and target and model/report samples to support Manufacturing Analysis.
Procurement – SAP Ariba

This is a new Package with 6 new stories which are all based on an excel based uploads from SAP Ariba Spend Management & SAP Ariba Buyer Network

  • Procurement Overview provides both an overview of your spend and sourcing (in Ariba Spend Management & Ariba Buyer Network) and also provides an analysis of your year-to-date trends of spend and sourcing.
  • Spends is a new story with multiple functionalities. Spend Visibility Overview with detailed analytics capabilities on Purchase Orders (PO) and Invoices, this includes monitoring of contracts both off contract and non-managed spends. It also provides you the possibility to get on top of your PO situation by analyzing the time trend, supplier relationships and the spend patterns of your organization. Lastly we can optimize payments by tracking invoices and also benefit from rich ad-hoc reporting capabilities
  • Sourcing analyzes spends and suppliers awarded for all Event types. Use multiple pre-defined drill-downs to control your sourcing activities
  • Contracts look at spend capacity and validity of Contracts as a basis for renewal decisions or renegotiations.
  • Buyer Network facilitates the receiving of information regarding routing, origin and status of invoices in the Ariba Buyer Network – by amount or number of invoices, by supplier or over time.
Procurement SAP S/4HANA Cloud (SAP Best Practices)

This is the last newly added package in content innovation 7 to the line of business package and includes 2 new stories. The package is based on a live connectivity to S/4 HANA Cloud.

  • Off Contract Spend: This story help you compare Purchase Order Amount and Off Contract Spends by Calendar Month, Supplier & Material Group and Purchasing Group and lists the top 5 off-Contract spend Amounts by various dimensions
  • Purchase Order Item Report: This story compares Purchase Order Amount by various dimensions and helps you find out where most of the purchasing is done and how this develops over time.
