After talking with my colleagues on the SAP Digital Business Services (DBS) team about what to expect at SAPPHIRE NOW 2018, being held June 5-7 in Orlando, I’m challenged to find words beyond the usual “awesome, brilliant and amazing.” Simply put, this event is the best place to have candid conversations with high-profile SAP customers who are leaping ahead with their own digital transformation, and eager to share lessons learned.According to Oliver Huschke, Global Head Solution Marketing & Communications, DBS at SAP, the Services and Support experience area at SAPPHIRE NOW will deliver real-world experiences directly from SAP customers who are addressing the top four business priorities for fast, impactful innovation.
“Customers tell us that they want guidance as they update existing ERP systems and move to the digital core with SAP S/4HANA,” said Huschke. “Most need help effectively managing both cloud and on-premise environments. At the same time, companies want to know how to quickly innovate using advances like machine learning, blockchain and IoT to create new business scenarios and processes. Once they’re up and running, they want guidance so they can stay successful.”
Get up close and personal with customers
First stop is the Customer Success Showcase Bar, where people can mix and mingle with an impressive line-up of industry leaders who will share their digital transformation experiences with SAP DBS. Attendees will have the opportunity to have conversations with executives at companies that include Goodyear, BJ’s, General Motors, Pepsi Bottling Venture, Varian Medical, Daimler and Life & Mobility.
Talk to the experts
People ready to take the next step in their company’s cloud journey can head to the Services and Support Expert Bar and Expert Tables. Plenty of SAP DBS experts will be on hand to give people everything they need to move forward from revealing new business opportunities, to revving up innovation with fast prototyping, and winning in hybrid landscapes.“If someone wants to know how to migrate to SAP S/4HANA, move to the cloud, innovate with SAP Leonardo, or be continuously successful with SAP solutions including SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Concur and SAP Fieldglass, they can talk with experts who will help them get started,” said Huschke. “The customer can then have more in-depth conversations about the most appropriate SAP services and tools based on their unique situation, such as SAP Value Assurance, SAP Model Company or SAP Leonardo Services.”
