STAY INFORMED: New User Authorization Objects in the SAP One Support Launchpad for Sell Partners
From Monday, May 28, 2018, SAP is introducing two new user authorization objects in the SAP One Support Launchpad, which are relevant for SAP PartnerEdge Sell partners providing VAR-delivered (VAR-d) support to customers.
1) Customer Incident Management (Partner)
This new authorization object gives you the flexibility to choose which S-users can manage incidents for your supported customer installations in the SAP ONE Support Launchpad.
Impact
Beginning May 28, 2018, there may be some S-users in your organization who will not be able to perform incident management in the SAP ONE Support Launchpad. The new authorization has been automatically assigned only to super administrator S-users at your company, and S-users who have created incidents since 2016.
Action
You will need to assess who within your organization requires this new authorization and ensure that it has been assigned to them. To learn more about the process of checking and assigning the authorization, please check KBA 2628152.
2) Service Reports (Partner)
This new authorization object enables S-users from VAR-d partners to view their end customers’ SAP EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reports in the SAP ONE Support Launchpad, using the application SAP EarlyWatch Alert Workspace.
Impact
This new authorization has been automatically assigned only to super administrator S-users at your company.
Action
You will need to assess who within your organization requires this new authorization and assign it to them. To understand more and learn how to assign the authorization please check KBA 2627899.
