SAP is proud to offer a new opportunity on the West Coast for high school students interested in computer science. The Professional Orientation is a new weeklong summer program hosted by SAP Cloud Business group at SAP’s San Ramon Office in California. A select group of applicants will attend daily, interactive sessions led by SAP experts where they will learn about a variety of topics, such as data analytics, coding, and SAP products, and receive educational and career guidance from professionals in the field.

It’s never too early for high school students to begin planning for their futures. As they look beyond graduation towards their careers, students can benefit from having as many resources at their exposal as possible. Let SAP be one of those resources. SAP wants to provide students passionate about computer science with professional guidance to ensure that they are able to make informed decisions as they set out upon their educational and career journeys.

Interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume, and high school transcript to Tibby Jennings (t.jennings@sap.com). Reference letters are also welcome, but not required. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in STEM and a desire to pursue further study and/or a career in a STEM-related field.

A few exceptional students from the orientation will be invited back the next year to participate in the prestigious Cloud Business Group Innovation STEM internship program.

Applications will be accepted until May 20, 2018. Students accepted to the program will be notified of the decision by May 27.

For high school students in the Greater Philadelphia region interested in a similar program, check out the SAP’s Global Center of Expertise High School Orientation at SAP’s North America headquarters in Newtown Square.
