SAP is proud to offer a new opportunity on the West Coast for high school students interested in computer science. Hosted by SAP Cloud Business group, this unique, week-long summer program invites students to join us at our San Ramon Office in California for daily, interactive sessions led by SAP’s industry experts. These sessions introduce students to a variety of IT topics, including data analytics, coding, and machine learning as well as cutting-edge SAP products and services. Students will also learn about the future of the tech industry and receive educational and career guidance from professionals working in the field.

So why should high school students spend a week of their summer vacation at SAP? Because it’s never too early for them to begin planning for their futures, and students who start planning now will have an advantage when they enter college and start applying for internships. As they look beyond graduation towards their careers, students can benefit from having as many resources at their disposal as possible. Let SAP be one of those resources. SAP wants to provide students passionate about computer science with professional guidance so that they can make informed decisions as they set out on their educational journeys.

A select group of exceptional candidates will be chosen to attend the program. Interested applicants should send a cover letter, resume, and high school transcript to Tibby Jennings (t.jennings@sap.com). Reference letters are also welcome, but not required. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a keen interest in the STEM subject matter and a desire to pursue further study and/or a career in a STEM-related field.

A few extraordinary students from the orientation will be invited back the next year to participate in the prestigious Cloud Business Group Innovation STEM internship program.

Applications will be accepted until May 20, 2018. Students admitted to the program will be notified of the decision by May 27.

For high school students in the Greater Philadelphia region interested in a similar program, check out the SAP’s Global Center of Expertise High School Orientation at SAP’s North America headquarters in Newtown Square.
