Uploading Extended User Information – Employee Central
As Successfactors consultant we come across some situation for which there aren’t detailed information available on Web or in documents. I am Successfactors Employee Central and Payroll Consultant I am came accross such scenario.
This article will help you understand how to upload extended user information in EC. It can save some time; unlike me breaking my head to find a simple thing.
In a recent migration, from legacy system to EC; the employee had some additional information about certification and License. The need arose because the customer is in business of home care service. Due to regulations, every employee needs to have an updated license and certification and they should be able to maintain it themselves.
Standard EC has a functionality to display and maintain the data. However, data for this is not loaded via Import Employee data but via extended user information. We faced some issue in understanding on how to load the data as there was not much information about it on forums.
Some of user personal information like Certificate and Licences can be uploaded in EC and displayed in the Employee portal; for bulk upload, data can be loaded via Import Extended User Information.
