How to Hide a field that required in Run Time Filter Criteria – Canvas Reports

In Canvas reports as per design if we need to include particular field in run time filter , then that field needs to be present in the query output.

Requirement : Needed a filed in run time filter criteria but the values should not be present in the output.

Solution: This is achieved by the formatting options available in report center.

Step 1 : Add this field as the last column in the query output. (In scenario it is Employee Status)

Step 2 : Add this field in the Runtime Filters along with other values.

Step 3 : Navigate to Edit Formatting then select the last column –>Right Click–>Delete Cell(s).

Step 4: Right click the column and select Style Settings.

Step 5: By Default “Custom” value will be filled in the Background Color, change it to White, so the last column won’t be visible.
