We’ve produced a video that will give you some insights about SAP S/4HANA Cloud – the intelligent cloud ERP, and that explains what makes the ERP “intelligent” with innovations available since the SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1802 update, or other innovations mentioned in the roadmap.

Here is a quick summary that will hopefully peak your interest. Three technologies that are not new, but coming to maturity, allow the introduction of the intelligent cloud ERP.

  1. Digital assistants that empower users to focus on what matters.

With SAP CoPilot, SAP is taking the conversational UI for enterprise to the next level by introducing a digital assistant for the enterprise. That enables users to interact more effectively with the ERP via the digital assistant CoPilot to get some work done much more simply.

For example, “Briefing” and “Situations” are planned for the next updates. With “Briefings” you can set up a briefing on a supplier or customer, to provide them with the most important information.

  1. Machine learning that reduces mundane tasks and increase business agility.

With the latest SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1802 update, a new scenario called Automated Payment Advice Processing with SAP Leonardo was released which drastically lowers manual efforts by automatically extracting additional information about payments from unstructured information PDF documents and uses it to automate the clearing process.

For the 1805 update the Project Cost Forecasting is planned in the area "Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management". After creating a new project, a project financial controller will be able to predict the overall costs of the new project.

  1. Predictive analytics that helps focusing more on possible outcomes than on the past.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is providing embedded analytics and predictive capabilities such as the ability to predict the purchase contract consumption.

Predictive capabilities are used in many other domains like in Sales, here with the new sales quotation conversion probability app that was shipped this quarter. As a sales manager, I can now determine the quotation conversion probability using predictive analytics in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

In a nutshell, this is what makes SAP S/4HANA Cloud an intelligent cloud ERP. Digital assistant, machine learning and predictive capabilities are seamlessly integrated into the business processes.

Don't miss the full collection of innovations per product update is this blog.
