SAP Cloud Integration – Locate/Find an element/node in Message Mapping editor
SAP Cloud Integration version 2.38 comes with an enhancement feature to locate/find the source or target element in message mapping editor from the expression editor.
The “Find Field” action has now been introduced with which you can locate/find the relevant element/node. This feature will be helpful if you are running through a complex mapping expression and you need to locate the element in source or target. Upon clicking on “Find Field”, the relevant source or target element/node is located and highlighted in mapping editor.
Below are sample screen shots which guides you on how to use this enhancement.
Consider a sample Integration Flow Project.
Select Message Mapping 1 flow step and select Processing tab and click on the message mapping resource (Levels.mmap in this case), which opens up the message mapping editor.
Select the source mapping expression element and in the menu extension, you will see a new action “Field Field” introduced.
Clicking on it will locate/find the element/node in the source section of message mapping editor. If the source element/node is not in the visible area, auto scroll of the table will happen.
The similar “Find Field” action is available at the target expression element as well, with an icon action menu
Thanks for the update and well explained.
It would be helpful, if SAP can bring the feature of "display queue" option at field level in message mapping which is similar to SAP PI/PO, so that the debugging will be simplified for complex scenarios.
Hi Naresh,
Display Queue feature is available now. More details at https://blogs.sap.com/2018/06/22/sap-cloud-platform-integration-message-mapping-display-queue/
Thanks
Deepak
Hi Deepak,
When can we expect the search option on the topic of the structure so that we can search each field required for the mapping which is similar to eclipse because It's painful to find the field by navigating to a structure that has many subnodes or fields?
Thanks,
Chandan
Hi Chandan,
We are working on it, and as per the current timeline projection/plan is to release by end of Q4 2018. I will publish a similar blog once the feature/enhancement in mapping editor is available.
Thanks
Deepak
Hi Deepak,
Thanks for sharing this blog.
Is there a list of all available mapping functions, and their usage?
Thanks
Yue
Hi Yue,
Are you looking for the list of standard mapping functions (what you see in the left side of the expression editor under the standard functions) and their explanation?
Thanks
Deepak
