Sapphire NOW is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious customer conferences. With an excellent location (Orlando, Florida) and great ambiance, it makes for a wonderful experience.
In 2017, SAP kicked off the “SAP Innovation Awards” (formerly the SAP HANA Awards which started in 2014) that now includes SAP Leonardo success stories.
On hearing about the innovation awards, our first instinct was to not run for this category. The reason was that we already had our hands full with our manifold day-to-day tasks.
Time has flown by and we are looking forward to celebrating the SAP Innovation Awards 2018 at Sapphire NOW.
We are quite serious about the nomination process this year. The reason is quite simple, we won the “Honorable Mention Award” for our “Pipeline Network Monitoring” solution at Sapphire 2017. The attention it brought to us was unprecedented as well as, immediate.Soon after the results were announced, customers and booth visitors were queuing up to see the solution that was the recipient of the award.
Thereon every customer conversation we had at our booth, had an element of pride and confidence, partly instilled by the precious trophy. In addition, we validated a strong belief that we had a very good solution that offered significant business benefits.
Sapphire came to an end but not its aftereffects. Post-Sapphire there was a Wipro organization-wide mailer that went out on the award to our customers and stakeholders who could not attend the conference.
This communication drew further curiosity & interest and resulted in many more customer conversations and demos, all to our liking, of course.
In addition, we were invited to the radio show “The HANA Effect” by SAP to talk about our innovation. This recognition had a positive impact on our company’s brand image.
It is difficult to put a dollar value against what we achieved until now, however there is a realization that the 2017 award was a big, positive influence.No surprises therefore that we intend to participate and do well at this year’s awards. With wider participation, the competition this year is expected to be much tougher, but then that’s the fun.
This year, we have set our aim high; let’s see what we achieve!
