At SAP TechEd in Las Vegas last year, I was presenting SAP’s definition of cloud with SAP S/4HANA Cloud. This is SAP’s intelligent ERP in the Cloud, a full SaaS solution to fit the business needs of today’s ERP customers. The latest version of SAP S/4HANA Cloud has just been released with the SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1802 Release.

Now, the recorded TechEd session S4H225 is available as a replay, no TechEd ticket necessary! This overview session is about what is required to make your transition to the cloud successful. You will learn about the different cloud models, how to get system access, and how to achieve system landscape integration. Finally, I’ll be covering offerings for data migration to ensure a safe transition to the cloud.

Back to School

We just hosted an openSAP class about Data Migration to SAP S/4HANA. The openSAP platform is SAP’s online learning offering that is free of charge and open to everyone. The course was held from Jan 24, 2018 through Feb 15, 2018 with almost 28,000 learners enrolled and many of them earning a record of achievement!

Now, the course is available in self-pace mode. Again open to everyone, that means you didn’t have to be enrolled earlier. The course is a deep dive into the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit and the Migration Object Modeler. It will give you a thorough introduction to these new tools. Finally, I’ll show you how to enhance your data migration with data quality features.

For Bookworms

Last year, some of my co-workers and I published a new SAP PRESS book, a comprehensive guide for your SAP S/4HANA transformation. It’s called Migrating to SAP S/4HANA. In this book you’ll learn how to implement the right migration scenario for your business requirements—cloud, on-premise, or hybrid. Step-by-step instructions will help you prepare, implement, and integrate SAP S/4HANA.

Now, chapter 4 of the book is available as a free reading sample. This chapter gives you all the details about preparing the migration to SAP S/4HANA to find your perfect migration plan. New implementation, system conversion, or landscape transformation? Cloud, on-premise, or hybrid? Evaluate your specific business requirements and explore each migration scenario.
