Harald, Warum ist die Telematik-Initiative für die Kunden von SAP von Interesse?
Die Digitalisierung im Gesundheitswesen bietet enorme Chancen, gleichzeitig aber auch große Herausforderungen – nicht nur in Bezug auf Datenschutz und Informationssicherheit. Grundlage dafür ist die Entwicklung einer effizienten und sicheren digitalen Infrastruktur - die sog. ‚Telematikinfrastruktur‘ als Kombination der Begriffe ‚Telekommunikation‘ und ‚Informatik‘. Sie soll zukünftig allen Akteuren – Patienten, Ärzten, Apotheken, Krankenhäusern und Krankenkassen – als sichere Vernetzungsbasis für den Austausch von Patientendaten und eine Vielzahl weiterer medizinischer Anwendungen dienen.
Mit dem Rollout des Versichertenstammdatenmanagements als erster Online-Anwendung auf der elektronischen Gesundheitskarte steht nun die erste Telematik-Anwendung kurz vor der flächendeckenden Einführung.
Inwiefern ist SAP hier involviert?
Vor kurzem hat SAP Health for Patient Management mit der erfolgreichen Absolvierung von über 40 Testszenarien bei der gematik (Gesellschaft für Telematikanwendungen der Gesundheitskarte mbH, Berlin) nachdrücklich gezeigt, dass unsere Software bereit für eine Vernetzung mit der Telematikinfrastruktur ist. Damit ist ein erster wichtiger Meilenstein zum Online-Abgleich der Versichertenstammdaten erreicht und erste Pilotprojekte können in Q1/2018 beginnen.
SAP Ambulatory Care Management ist damit als eines der ersten Krankenhausinformationssystem (KIS)-Module in der Konformitätsliste auf dem gematik web portal geführt.

Harald, why is the telematics initiative of interest to SAP customers?
Digitalization in healthcare offers enormous opportunities, but at the same time major challenges - not only in terms of data protection and information security. The basis for digitalization must therefore be the development of an efficient and secure digital infrastructure - the so-called 'telematics infrastructure': a phrase that combines the terms 'telecommunications' and 'computer science'. In the future, it will serve all stakeholders - patients, doctors, pharmacies, hospitals and health insurances - as a secure networking platform for the exchange of patient data and many other medical applications.
With the rollout of insured master data management as the first online application on the electronic health card, the first telematics application is about to be introduced nationwide in Germany.
In how far is SAP involved?
Recently, SAP Health for Patient Management successfully completed more than 40 test scenarios with gematik (Gesellschaft für Telematikanwendungen der Gesundheitskarte mbH, Berlin). Through this, SAP could convincingly show that our software is ready for networking within this telematics infrastructure. This marks an important milestone for the online synchronization of insured person master-data. First pilot projects and implementations are planned to start in Q1 / 2018.
For this reason, SAP Ambulatory Care Management is one of the first Hospital Information Systems-modules on the compliance list in the gematik web portal.
