Community Manager Appreciation Day #CMAD – Recognizing @caroleighdeneen and @oddss on the @SAPCommunity

So it’s the 4th Monday of January, following this blog and it is time to recognize some rock star community managers here on the SAP Community.  I am grateful for their work, the collaboration, actively listening to the community, and help/support.

First up is Audrey Stevenson .  Audrey is pictured left – source: blog.  Audrey has worked long and hard for the SAP Community, starting with the old BPX community, then gamification, reputation and she is starting another project too (she should share that herself).  See Audrey on this 2013 SAP TechEd Las Vegas video: The Impact of Gamification on SAP Community Network and its Reputation Program, 2013 Las Vegas

For me, she has become like the new “Marilyn Pratt”. For those who remember, Marilyn was like the “God Mother” of the SAP Community and to me Audrey has been her replacement. Audrey seems to know when I don’t feel right about something in the community and has a way of reaching out to me to help me understand the situation.

She has taken the time to ensure I receive the “community ribbons” at events like SAP TechEd. I worked with her recently on Hey Look! It’s Both of the Tammys Together!

I also worked with her and Caroleigh on Don’t Mention it…Oh Wait, Do!

So thank you, Audrey. And thank you for finding me at events to give me this:

Next is Caroleigh Deneen .   I haven’t met Caroleigh face to face but I’ve been on several phone calls with her. She is always super-pleasant, inclusive, and takes the time to understand and listen. She is the “face” behind the Community Appreciation Awards – and Missions Timeout Not Game Over.

See Caroleigh in this Community Appreciation Awards video:

She is also featured in this SAP Career story

She has handled a few sensitive situations here on the platform that I can’t explain but for this she receives my gratitude.

So as Rachel Happe, co-founder of the Community Roundtabe says “If you have a particular community manager in mind, spend a few minutes today to say thank you…”

So thank you both Caroleigh and Audrey

Is there a Community Manager you want to thank today?

I want to recognize Claire Donelon.   She is always commenting, blogging and just plain keeping Open SAP in the community communications.    We all love the courses once we take them!   Thank you Claire.

Wow, thanks Michelle Crapo! I wouldn't consider myself as a community manager and not half as deserving as a lot of others on here so this mention is very welcome on a Monday in January 🙂 . At openSAP, we get a lot of feedback from community members (especially SAP Mentors) and it helps us to identify areas to improve - it's important for us to have open communication with our users.

I definitely agree with both of Tammy's choices above - I've worked closely with Caroleigh Deneen on community topics since openSAP was created and I always find her so pleasant and helpful.

Wow Tammy, I am truly honored. Thank you so very much.

One of may favorite parts of community management is the virtual connections with people like you. Though we've never met, the bonds forged in this community are strong. Your dedication is an inspiration to us all.

Totally agree with Tammy´s description. You are super-pleasant, and work together with community  to grow our word. Well deserved, and, on time, you are doing a great work for us. Your approach "one to one" contact, and effort to bring more "creativity" to the community actions, bring huge a value for SAP community.
      Thank you. FM

Needless to say I agree with Tammy.   I follow you and love the 1 to 1 contact.   It's huge!

      Thank you!

Wow, Tammy, what a nice surprise to wake up to such high praise from one of our community's brightest shining stars! I will say that while I strive to be like Marilyn and try to follow the WWMD (what would MarilynMarilyn Pratt do) mantra, I still have quite a ways to go to fill her shoes.

And can I also say "right back atcha"!? As a long-time moderator in our community, you are a tireless champion for quality and without your efforts (and those of the other moderators), there would be ungoverned chaos in this neighborhood.

I'm committed (as are you, and as is Caroleigh, I know) to making this the best place it can be. Thank you for your vote of confidence!
