Muriel, one of our Solution Sales Executives HCM at SAP SuccessFactors originally wanted to be a teacher when she grew up. But having decided she did not have the patience for teaching she turned to marketing, HR consultancy and then came to SAP to work in sales.
Having studied European Business at university Muriel knew she wanted to work in a multinational, multicultural environment like SAP. But what made her move to a sales role in June 2017?
“I was contacted by a former colleague who thought my profile and skills would be appropriate for SuccessFactors. I needed to have sales skills and an understanding of HRIS but also an ability to listen to client needs and the charisma to make a difference”
So, after her first few months with SAP, we asked Muriel about what success looks like:
“I see SAP as long-term relationship providing capabilities to evolve within great positions as long as you work hard for it.
The real Success for me would be to reach my quotas while making sure my personal life remains balanced and happy – in short: Happy Family & Happy Customers!”
But what advice would she give to people starting out in their careers?
“Be resilient, listen to your intuition more than negative people around you, don’t be afraid to take risks”.
