Life at SAP – with Manuel Prinz

One of the best ways to show what Life is like at SAP is to share our employee stories to provide insight into their experiences and what being successful means to us at the company. I am Heather Walker, and I work on the Global Employer Branding team. Over the last few months I have had the opportunity to speak with 50 colleagues across our Europe, Middle East and Africa region to help share their stories. Here is an interview I did with Manuel Prinz.

In 2014 Manuel was approached by SAP to become an Account Executive Associate. In 2015 he became an Industry Principal for Retail and in 2016 became a General Business Sales Executive in Austria. We asked Manuel what skills he feels are the most important to follow a similar career path:

“Social skills, empathy and commercial skills such as negotiation and the creativity to create appealing offers to customers.”

And if he was to go back in time and give advice to his 18-year-old self?

“I’d say not to worry about your future but enjoy your youth.”

So, what does success look like to Manuel?

“It means going home in the evening knowing that the work I did during the day brings value to my customers and SAP. My career at SAP means I have the special chance to become and achieve whatever I want as the environment within SAP offers lots of opportunities for everyone who is willing to deliver performance.”
