Sign Up for UX Interviews & Usability Testing: SAP HANA, express edition

We are actively recruiting participants for our User Experience (UX) Interviews & Usability Testing for SAP HANA, express edition (HXE). The current iteration will run from January 2, 2018 to January 19, 2018.

Background
These user interviews and tests will be conducted at a very detailed level, so that we may better understand background and level of comfort with SAP HANA, express edition and subsequently improve your user experience with the product.

Usability Test & User Interview Sessions

After placing participants into user groups, we will be meeting with them on a 1:1 basis to interview their particular user journeys, and/or perform 1:1 usability tests with them. You are welcome to sign up for either one, or both. For better feedback, we recommend doing both, although there are no obligations in case of time constraints.

Usability Test:
You will perform a live hands-on test on HXE, while being observed by a member of our team. No worries, this is a casual, interactive session. Just have fun playing around with HXE while chatting with us about it. If you are remote, we will schedule a Skype session with you.

Please note:
For remote usability test sessions, we require you to be able to video conference with us via Skype, and also share your desktop screen with us as we perform the session. Please make sure you are comfortable with this arrangement if you are remote. Your information will be kept confidential.

User Interviews
(we prefer that users have at least played around with HXE for a little bit):
This is also a casual, interactive conversation where we chat about your experience with HXE. You can talk in detail about specific points in your user experience journey.

Basic Requirement
Experience with using SAP HANA, express edition. This can vary at different levels – from being a new user who just heard about HXE and getting started with it, to being a seasoned user who uses it for productive purposes. If you fit this broad spectrum of usage levels, feel free to participate.

Dates
January 2, 2018 to January 19, 2018.

Please note: We are closed for these sessions on weekends.

Times
Standard session duration is 90 mins.
Interview sessions are usually 60 – 90 mins long.
Usability tests can vary from 90 mins to more or less depending on the progress of the user.
Follow-up sessions can be scheduled in case of time shortage.
Times are flexible and can be adjusted according to the user’s preferred time zone.

Place
In-person if located in the SF Bay Area. Skype call for all other locations (no geographic limitations)
Further instructions for in-person sessions (address, meeting point etc.) will be shared via email once you sign up.

Please note: If you are signing up for a remote session, we will not be able to provide you with a laptop/desktop machine to perform the study on. In this case, you will require your own machine. For in-person sessions, you are free to bring your own device, or request for us to provide you with one.

Sign up to Participate!

Sign up for your preferred session(s). Based on your selection, we will send you some screening questions about your experience with SAP HANA, express edition. This screening questionnaire will help us group participants into user types (based on level of experience and usage journey), which will enable us to optimize these sessions for the best interview/test experience on both sides. For either session, we will be capturing your feedback and behavioral information with respect to usage of the product. However, this will be kept confidential and will be used for study purposes only. You will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before participating in the study.

If you have any questions regarding these user study sessions, feel free to email me at annie.niangneihoi@sap.com

Looking forward to these sessions with all you wonderful users!
