SAP Inside Track Bogotá 2017 – Wrap up (English)

Hello friends of the SAP community.

Happy to tell you that the first SAP Inside Track in Colombia was successfully held on November 23, an event organized by the SAP Mentors and that was supported by ASUG Colombia, SAP Colombia, and SAP Press. The initiative was born from Marssel Vilaça of Brazil when he contacted me to be the local organizer of the event, a task that I accepted immediately and with all the responsibility and commitment that this implied.

Already in the event I had the pleasant surprise of the acceptance of the local community, we had an average attendance of 40 people, the schedule was from 9 am to 5 pm in the SAP offices in Bogota, with 1 hour of lunch and an agenda full of diverse topics of the SAP ecosystem:

Aida Gutierrez (ASUG) / Jhon Jairo Teran – Kick-Off

Marssel Vilaça – Kick-Off SAP Mentors and SAP Community Network

Hernan Cardona – SAP Cloud Platform Extensions for SAP Cloud Applications

Maria Antonieta Lopez – Innovation with purpose

Former Member – Development of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions in SAP Cloud Platform

Ricardo Jaime Reyes – Design thinking applied to business

Francesca Tinelli – How to apply successfully to vacancies in the SAP world

Helena Losada – SAP Developer Program: How do I update?

Leonardo Muñoz – Hana smart data access! BW Power!

Jhon Jairo Teran Salazar – Fiori Cloud Implementation: How to go from scheme on premise to cloud

Maribel Ortega – Analytical self-service for organizational management

Several sessions were with demos included which was exciting since it could be demonstrated, and not only show the capabilities of the SAP tools. They are passionate people for their work who selflessly shared their knowledge, example of expertise but also of humility.

A team was formed as a result of the event with volunteers, speakers, and some assistants in order to continue promoting the SAP community in future events, which is a good sign that we have people in Colombia willing to contribute their effort and knowledge to strengthen the community.

Next, the SAP Mentors team that participated in the event organization:

Marssel Vilaça (Brasil)

Maria Antonieta Lopez (Mexico)

Diego Dora (Argentina)

Wence Lacaze (Chile)

Additionally Fausto Regis de Oliveira Motter who also supported us from Brazil, to all of them thank you!.

Last but not least, I would like to mention the volunteers who, on the day of the event, came forward to give their help selflessly. Thanks to you, the coordination of the sessions during the day was almost perfect with some details that were imperceptible to the attendees thanks to the team work, Thanks guys:

I love the pictures!   It's so great seeing these inside tracks being so successful.  It is not easy to get one going.    Organizing one is fun but exhausting.   I'm glad you took the time to celebrate your success.
