SAP Retail Omnichannel – Innovations Update December 2017
Dear Retail community,
with the latest Feature Pack 2 of SAP CAR 3.0 Application Bundle 2, the key SAP Retail omnichannel innovations have seen new capabilities, including performance, extensibility and usability improvements. All innovations are now supporting SAP S/4HANA 1709 (on premise).
1) Omnichannel Article Availability and Sourcing (OAA)
With Omnichannel Article Availability and Sourcing (OAA) the development focus was on the omnichannel sourcing side:
A new SAP Fiori app “Manage Sources” was introduced to enable personnel to block or unblock individual sources and maintain the pick-and-pack capacity of a source.
The app “Manage Sourcing Networks” features new building blocks, e.g. to balance the DC capacity by considering the free picking capacity.
- Filter sources by free capacity
- Exclude sources by type
- Sort sources by type
- Sort sources by free capacity
- Sort sources by area-based priority
In addition all SAP Fiori apps “Manage Sourcing Networks”, “Manage Sales Channels” and “Manage Sourcing Strategies” have seen usability improvements, including drop-down lists, wizard improvements, and the like.

2) SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing (OPP)
In SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing the development focus was on new features and high-load performance and extensibility improvements:
- Product groups, an alternative to simple product groups – exclude products or product hierarchy nodes from product groups, use product groups in mix-and-match offers, offers with incentives, and packaged offers
- Offer status – affect the transformation of offers into OPP promotions (released or canceled)
- Location-specific outbound processing – generate IDOCs for a specific location, which then receives only the relevant promotion information
- Performance improvements in high-load conditions
- Improved extensibility of the promotion pricing service
- SAP Customer Activity Repository retail apps bundle 2.0 feature package 2
- SAP Hybris Commerce 6.5
- SAP Hybris Commerce, integration package for SAP for Retail 2.5 / admin guide
