Continuous innovation is a key component of the SAP EA Designer release strategy. SAP Enterprise Architecture Designer 1.0 SP03 was released in November, 2017 and it can be downloaded from the SAP Service Marketplace in the Support Packages and Patches software download section. • Increased data architecture representation with conceptual data modeling capabilities
  • Improved business process blueprinting and documentation with support for exporting processes to SAP Solution Manager 7.2
  • Usability enhancements

Join the Live Expert Sessions with the SAP Enterprise Architecture Product Management team to understand how both the existing and new capabilities will support your digital transformation.

Mark your calendars to participate in the SAP EA Designer 1.0 SP03 series to learn more (meeting invitations below). All sessions are planned to be 1 hour in length.

      Hi Wilson,

Unfortunately, the recordings are not available. I've been trying. I can provide the pdf's of the presentations, if that would help.

      Hello,

This seems quite simulair to the process documenation as in Solman.

When would you advise to use Solman and when  EA Designer?

      Thanks,

      Sander van Gemert

We are complementary, as SolMan does not document the entire Enterprise Architecture, mostly only the business process architecture. So, most customer use them in a complementary mode where EA Designer is the super-set containing all Business Capabilities, Value Streams, Value Flow, Business Processes (SAP via SolMan & non-SAP), plus Requirements and Data architecture so that the company can see the entire E2E. This complementary aspect is also how we work with the SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA.

      HTH,
