If you are one of the thousands of SAP customers who are still happily running SAP CRM on-premise, you’re probably already aware that SAP continues to actively invest in, and enhance, SAP CRM!
SAP has not announced any end-of-life date for SAP CRM on-prem, which, as part of the SAP Business Suite, is currently guaranteed to be supported via mainstream maintenance through at least 2025. Currently there are no plans to end or replace SAP CRM.
While SAP also develops other Cloud-based solutions in parallel, as part of the SAP Hybris brand, SAP also continues to aggressively invest in our legacy on-premise solutions such as SAP CRM.
In fact, SAP recently just wrapped up the CRM2017 round of the SAP Customer Connection program in which SAP delivered over 70 new, customer requested, enhancement to SAP CRM on-premise.
Some of the key enhancements include:
- Enhanced mouse-over previews
- Addition of “relative” dates such as Next 30 days, previous 7 days, etc.
- Ability to drag to re-size the Navigation/Menu Bar
- Mass export of marketing attributes to MS Excel
- RSS feed integration into CRM home page
- Google Chrome support for CRM Interaction Center (*in progress)
- Display user’s saved searches in homepage
- And many, many more

Time to start planning for CRM2018: Unfortunately, the Collection phase for CRM2018 SAP Customer Connection program closed on December 1, 2017. However, while it is too late to submit new ideas and vote anymore, you can still stay involved in the process as SAP enters the Selection and Development phase.
