[Obsolete] Enhancements in Mobile Channel with SAP Hybris Marketing Cloud

Note:

  • The mobile SDK and Servlet are obsolete as of the SAP Marketing Cloud 2011 release. As an alternative, you can use the new integration flows to integrate your mobile app with SAP Marketing Cloud. For more information, see Mobile App Integration with Google Firebase.
  • Apple Wallet and Android Pay are also obsolete as of the SAP Marketing Cloud 2011 release. There is no alternative available.

Starting with the 1711 release of the SAP Hybris Marketing,
Mobile Channel solution is enhanced with Apple Wallet and Android Pay integration.

The graphic below illustrates the end-to-end process flow of the enhanced Mobile Channel solution.

With these new enhancements:

  • As a marketer, you can associate the coupon that you created with an offer, in turn, associate this offer to a campaign, and then send these offers and notifications to the mobile app via push notifications (on the SAP Hybris Marketing end).
  • As an end-user, you can now save these offers (with coupons) in the push notification links to either an Apple Wallet or Android Pay app on your mobile device to redeem these offers.

Hope you enjoy these enhancements in our Mobile Channel solution!

      Hi Vijay,

The document center link expiration date is extended. Please note in a short while the SAP Doc Center would be not accessible, we are working towards providing documentation and SDK through other channels very soon.

      Regards,

      Susheel Kumar C

      Hi

The SDK and Servlet download link seem not working.

The servlet and the SDKs for both iOS and Android versions are available on OneDrive.

      Can you double check?

      Thanks

      Yue

      Hi Yue,

Just rechecked and figured out that the link works fine for me. Please recheck again and let me know, I'll relook onto the folder permissions again.

      Regards,

      Susheel

      Hi,

Does this support geofencing marketing use case? The use case is for the customer with the mobile app installed, SAP marketing will receive real-time GPS location of them and send push/SMS with they entered specific geofenced area.

      Thanks,
      Chow Li

      Hello Arun,

When performing the push to FCM, more specifically while building the request body, SAP Marketing Cloud invokes the "IID" (Instance ID) Google service with the device token as a parameter. One of the result fields returned by this service is the "platform" field which corresponds to the device type (e.g. ANDROID, IOS).

I hope this answers your question.

      Thanks & Best Regards,

      Mourad

Hi Mourad Mourad  Susheel Kumar C ,

How does SAP Marketing Cloud get the parameters of the device token? Is there an API or something like that available in SAP Marketing Cloud?

      Regards,

      Arun Anandan
