This week all roads towards north-east outskirts of Bangalore will be full of consultants, enthusiasts, some customers of SAP going to take part in their flagship event – SAP TechEd. Like many others, I shall join this annual pilgrimage soaking in lecture sessions, strategy talks, networking sessions and most importantly getting hands dirty on new technologies that SAP has to offer for 3 days starting Wednesday. A long daily drive exacerbated by notorious traffic with Metro and Outer Ring Road concreting works kicked off very recently will sap out every bit of energy. Hopefully TechEd sessions will re-energise to keep the momentum going till Friday evening.
This year is special in a way – it marks 10 year of SAP Mentor Program tribute to the band of super-charged and passionate SAP enthusiasts, experts who take upon novel task of spreading, sharing knowledge online and offline, strong advocates of SAP technology (good and bad of it) and products that SAP Community look upon. I am honored to attend SAP TechEd this time as Mentor Alumnus anchoring a TechEd Live interview of Dr. Peter Gergen on “Security Strategy from SAP – Anomaly Detection to Three Lines of Defense” on Wednesday 25th October at noon.
Hosting Networking Session NET53473 SAP Supply Chain Management Application Trends and Skill Building Thursday October 26 at 2:30 to 3 pm Networking Session 2. I plan to give an overview of SCM application evolution right from R/3 days to APO to IBP on cloud and S/4HANA in first half followed by open discussion on how to continuously re-skill oneself in changing times.
In between I shall hang around Coffee Corner – Community Clubhouse where SAP Community Managers and fellow SAP Mentors will be present. So if you are attending SAP TechEd then surely come over and chat while having coffee or a gola (yes I am told this will be there for first time). I shall be at Mentor Booth at 1:30 to 2:30 pm on Wednesday Oct 25, 3 to 4 pm on Thursday Oct 26 and 4 to 4:30 pm on Friday Oct 27. See you at SAP TechEd Bangalore!!!
