Research “shows how data driven decisions are at the forefront of digital leaders” and it is essential to today’s “hyper connection market”.
More details can be found here

Research shows that less than 20% of business users have access to analytics with complex environments and multiple platforms making it difficult to locate the needed data.

Users need to know what analytics they need and where to find them. “Analytics are scattered around in multiple systems, on premise and now in the cloud” said SAP. Then, “Users may not know the link, don’t have a login, and may only be authorized to a few analytics”. Then they don’t know the analytics that they do not have access to them – how do you discover and request access?
“Which analytics can I trust?” “What is the content of this report? What is the data source used?
Where is the documentation? How the are the measures calculated, and how is the data filtered?
Who authored and certified this analytic? How often is the data refreshed? Who else used it?” (SAP)
“How do BI administrators and power users easily empower users with the right Analytics? How do I make the right analytics available to all users? How can I easily govern analytics’ distribution?” (SAP)
