To prepare for this exam, you can enroll in the available trainings and learnings to advance your expertise in SAP Activate. Our community is a great place for our members to share their SAP Activate feedback and experiences. The quote below is from one of our SAP Activate exam students who reached out to share their positive experience for the SAP Activate certification exam.
“Thanks! I passed the ACT exam with 93%. Thanks to SAP Jam, roadmap viewer and of course your efforts.” – Community Member on our SAP Activate Jam Community
To tailor our trainings to the students, we have both instructor led and self-paced options depending on the specific training. The courses are geared to program and project managers, team leads, and consultants with the purpose of building an understanding of SAP Best Practices, Agile techniques, and configuration concepts.
To achieve your goal of being obtaining your SAP Certified Associate – SAP Activate Project Manager certification, there are available trainings which you can participate in to start your SAP Activate knowledge or just refresh on your detailed project implementation experience(s). There are E-Learnings available which you can take at your own pace as well as in classroom settings which you can learn from peers in a collaborative learning setting.
The first stop to preparing for the exam would be diving into the introduction courses for SAP Activate to learn the fundamentals and foundation of the methodology and framework through our ACT100 (two-day classroom course) and ACT10e (eight-hour self-paced) trainings. These courses provide you with the core tools which support SAP Activate such as the SAP Activate Jam community, SAP Roadmap Viewer, and SAP Solution Manager (current 7.2 version). Learning and understanding the building blocks of the methodology and framework make it a perfect starting point. Note, internal SAP colleagues can access the trainings on the SAP SuccessFactors Learning platform.
Once you have brushed up and learned about the methodology, it’s pillars (SAP Best Practices, Methodology, and Guided Configuration), and the implementation paths you can take (new implementation, system conversion, and landscape transformation), you will be able to bridge the project implementation gaps which arise in a deployment for most teams by learning about Agile techniques. The next step in preparing for the exam is by taking the ACT200 (two-day classroom course) training which builds off of Agile courses such as the PMI-ACP and Certified Scrum Master training. It will allow you to gain insight and apply practical application knowledge by collaborating with teams in breakout activities to practice what you have learned in the lessons to further solidify your knowledge during the course.
As you may have heard, “cloud” has been a buzzword we have all been hearing lately as we have been familiar with the “on-premise” term, but now cloud is in the forefront of project implementation options for teams implementing an SAP solution. To tailor your knowledge on cloud as it relates to an SAP Activate implementation, you can now learn about the key topics through the ACT1CL and ACT2CL E-Learning trainings including SAP Best Practices Content and solution specific cloud roadmaps in the SAP Roadmap Viewer. Understand the terminology and processes for SAP Activate methodology cloud deployments with these self-paced courses.
The ACT1CL course enables users to understand the SAP Activate methodology as it relates to cloud deployments in the focus area of SAP SuccessFactors HCM. You will learn about the responsibilities, roles, and governance a project team deploying the solution encounters during each phase through post go-live. The next course for cloud interested users is the ACT2CL training which is geared for SAP Professional Services, SAP Partner project managers, and SAP SuccessFactors implementation consultants for cloud deployments. Participants will be introduced to the key goals, topics, and the purpose and approach of SAP SuccessFactors HCM.
To further your SAP Activate learning path, check out the additional resources available on openSAP such as Implementation of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Solution Manager for SAP S/4HANA Implementation in a Nutshell, and all SAP S/4HANA openSAP courses found here. Check out these courses to familiarize yourself with the various topics related to the solution as it relates SAP S/4HANA and SAP Activate. You will find all the self-paced trainings with a plethora of solution topics to bring your knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and our methodology, SAP Activate, to the next level.

Hallo,
I am interested on the Cloud implementation option only. Does any of the two available certificates activate05 or activate12 which I can see available, focuses on the area, or I have to go through all documents in order to prepare for the exam?
Thank you very much,
Evangelia
Hello Evangelia,
Thanks for your question. We would suggest you take the exam as it covers both scenarios (cloud and on-premise) with SAP Activate project implementations.

Hello Kelsey,
Greetings! Hope things are fine at your end.
I am preparing for SAP Activate certification “C_ACTIVATE05” – I was preparing with ebook ACT 100 and ACT 200.
But recently the e-book ACT100_EN_Col05 – has become obsolete and e-book ACT100_EN_Col12 – is latest release.
Will this impact the certification ? Should I prepare based on col 12 ?
Can you pls suggest? Thanks a lot in advance.
Hello Ananthaiah,
Thanks for your question. The Col05 version is being retired. Please use the Col12 version as this is the latest version.
I believe there is an adjustment to some of the questions with the new version but it is just including updated content.
Good luck on your exam journey and come back to let us know how you did!
