On Thursday September 21st, the SAP Business Reimagined Tour (BRT) parked at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) campus for the day. Several key SAP customers from the Chicago area, UIC faculty, UIC students and some special guests enjoyed the opportunity to learn about some of SAP’s latest innovations from our expert SAP tour team.
This was a unique and special opportunity to bring together our key customers, university leaders, students, ASUG leadership and other members of the Chicago innovation ecosystem. Attendees were able to experience the new face of SAP and interact with the Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, Virtual Reality, and other innovations. This behind-the-scenes video helps to describe how the technologies we were showcasing on the tour can help our customers operate as a live, smart, connected, agile, and future-first business – end to end.
Since UIC is a long-time SAP University Alliances partner and is planning to open its SAP Next-Gen Lab this year, it was particularly pleasing to include so many students in the BRT so they could see how the latest SAP technology is applied in business. UIC teaches several courses with SAP content in the UIC Business school. Customers visiting the tour could learn more about UIC programs and speak with faculty and students in attendance. There were many productive discussions about potential future collaborations.
