In previous webinars we already highlighted various application integration scenarios that can be realized with the help of SAP Cloud Platform integration. This time we had a closer look at the Business to Government (B2G) integration domain:

Why it might be relevant also for your business:

New Government regulations in more and more countries act as a key driver for the growing momentum around usage of e-documents – and the integration need that goes along for the business documents residing in your SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA source system.
Two new regulations that came into force in 2017:

  • Spain: new tax control system called “Immediate Supply of Information” (Suministro Inmediato de Información –S.I.I.).
    How can SAP support you:
SAP e-invoicing framework, a combination of an SAP ERP add-on for e-document processing and SAP Cloud Plaftform Integration for technical communication to the government platform.
Check out this video for further information.

Further country-specific e-invoicing Integration templates already available on the SAP API Business Hub.

  • India: new Goods and Services Tax (GST)
    How can SAP support you:
SAP’s Globalization team has built a dedicated application to comply with the new government tax regulations, built on the SAP Cloud Platform, leveraging the mediation capabilities of SAP Cloud Platform Integration.

Many of our SAP Cloud Platform Integration customers work with a 2-tier integration landscape: 1 tenant for Test and 1 tenant for Productive usage: The requirement is to seamlessly transport your integration flows from test to production environment. As of our September release this can be done in a controlled fashion with the help of CTS+ (content transport plus for non-ABAP based objects), either through your SAP Solution Manager or NetWeaver on-premise system.
What you need to do:

  • In your SAP Cloud Platform Integration tenant:
-> tenant admin needs to switch the transport setting to ‘CTS+’
  • In your Cloud Platform Cockpit
-> enable the Solutions Lifecyle Management service (-> Services -> DevOPs -> Solutions Lifecyle Management)
-> maintain Destination CloudIntegration (case sensitive)
    -> Assign new role IntegrationContent.Transport
  • Important: The user also requires to be a Member of the subscriber accounts (Test and Prod), assign in SAP Cloud Platform Cockpit.

For more detailed information see the following blog

For the configuration steps that need to be done in your Solution Manager/or SAP NetWeaver system see the help documentation.

**********************************************************************************************************************Session Handling for http adapters
Calling an HTTP service in a backend will create a session on the backend server, if the server supports sessions. In this case the server will create a session cookie and send it back to Cloud Integration. Subsequent calls from the client to this server will be done with the same cookie, so that the server can correlate the call to the correct session.

***********************************************************************************************************************Option to Connect to on-premise mail server
The SAP Cloud Connector can now be configured to connect to your on-premise mail server. This configuration utilizes the SOCKS5 proxy supported in SAP Cloud Connector version 2.10 and higher.
This configuration can now be used in combination with SAP Cloud Platform Integration mail receiver adapter.

For more detailed Information, check out this blog

***********************************************************************************************************************Our new RFC receiver adapter facilitates a client system to execute a function module on an on-premise ABAP application system remotely via SAP Cloud Platform Integration.
• Connects to the on-premise ABAP system using a secure TLS tunnel via the Cloud Connector (only).
• Connection to the backend system is done via
Cloud Platform destinations, that in turn references a virtual
host defined in the Cloud Connector.
• Individual function modules need to be whitelisted through
Access Control in the Cloud Connector.

In the first version of RFC adapter, synchronous RFC (sRFC) is made available for you to execute the function call based on synchronous communication, which means that both the systems must both be available at the time the call is made.
For further information, see blog.

***********************************************************************************************************************Maven support for Adapter Development Kit

For the development of new adapters on the SAP Cloud Platform Integration platform we are offering the so called Adapter Development Kit (ADK) for quite some while.
As of September 2017 we are now offering a new and enhanced framework that provides out-of-the-box Maven support and ready to use working implementation of a
sample Adapter.
Some of the key benefits that come with the Maven tool:
1. Simple project setup in seconds – most of the parts are
automated.
2. Dependency management
3. Model based builds
4. Large and growing repository

@CPI Partner Community: Test it out in the new ADK version!

    Dear Anette

I’m looking for the scheduled maintenance windows for 2018 in the SAP Cloud Platform for the Data Center in Walldorf Rot. I got the following hyperlink from one of your colleagues, but there is only January 18 mentioned. As far as I know, there should be 3 other dates for scheduled maintenance in 2018.
see: https://sapcp.statuspage.io/ – Contact Us Form Submission from https://cloudplatform.sap.com/ <CID95E426210F32>

Could you sent me for internal usage in our maintenance calendar for 2018 this information to put the right windows for the HANA Cloud Integration Platform.

    Thank you,

    Best regards,

    Jürgen
