“Success to me means being happy with my work, and being happy with myself and SAP offers me a great environment for this.”

As part of our #SAPHANACareers series we asked one of our Canada based developers about their journey with SAP and what advice they had to give other developers starting out in their careers.

As a child growing up in India and then Canada, Jay had the ambition to come up with new inventions. Now, as a Software Developer, his work has an impact on thousands of people and this gives him a profound sense of accomplishment.

“I studied Electrical and Computer Engineering and graduated with a Computer Engineering discipline. I originally applied as a graduate to a different team but was referred to the HANA team. In addition to my skills in git, html/CSS and Javascript, I find it’s important to have initiative, self-discipline and the communication skills to talk to a diverse range of people.

Success to me means being happy with my work, and being happy with myself and SAP offers me a great environment for this.”
