In just a few days, the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) will demonstrate how the world of mobility is changing with respect to an ongoing dramatic shift towards digitalization and increased connectivity. The New Mobility World exhibition, as part of the 2017 IAA, offers guests the opportunity to explore the entire range of innovations in the automotive industry, from digitalization to electro mobility to new mobility concepts – especially in cities. Complementary to these exhibitions, the New Mobility World brings together innovators from all sectors which are developing new solutions, technologies, or products for the mobility of the future.

In the new digital economy, no company on its own has the capability to tackle all challenges and take advantage of all opportunities that come with digitalization. Thus, success does not come about by going solo, but rather by partnering, cooperating, and co-innovating on a global scale. The joint EY-HARMAN-SAP booth is a unique demonstration of new ways of collaboration between different companies to drive innovation for future mobility solutions. Peter Fuss, Senior Advisory Partner Automotive at EY, states,

“Future mobility concepts require out of the box thinking like the Swiss Think Tank Rinspeed, who developed together with EY, Harman, SAP and others the Concept Car “OASIS,” showing that the car of the future could become a third Living room. The joint appearance of EY-HARMAN-SAP at this year´s IAA New Mobility World is a perfect showcase for operating with new and successful alliances to the benefit of the mobility customer of the future .”

“The future of mobility will focus heavily on connectivity, user interfaces, and end-to-end computing platforms that enable autonomous driving to make it safe, enjoyable, and productive,” said Phil Eyler, executive vice president and president, Connected Car, HARMAN. “Automakers need visionary partners to bring concepts to reality. Collaborations like those between EY, SAP, and HARMAN are essential to understanding where we are today, so that we know where the road will take us not only to the horizon we see, but to the exciting new world that is just beginning to present its possibilities.”

Uli Muench, Global VP of Industry Business Unit Automotive at SAP, adds: “The New Mobility World is a great venue for us to show exciting technology solutions for connected mobility, more consumer convenience, and ever-smarter cities. We look forward to welcoming you at our joint booth and engaging in productive dialogue with customers and partners on how we will contribute to the future where people, things, and businesses are better connected, safer, and more effective.”
