Announcing the SAP Community Award Recipients!

In May, I announced the SAP Community Awards, an interim initiative to keep our tradition of community member recognition alive while we look forward the launch of our new reputation program. It is with great enthusiasm that I share the final results!

For the Appreciation Awards, we had an exciting round of community-driven nominations and voting, filled with great commentaries about the types of contributors the community values and respects. We’ve tallied the results and I’m pleased to announce the top-voted members below. Since we had a tie, 23 members are receiving Appreciation Awards, rather than the 21 planned.

While voting was going on, the Community Experience team was working hard behind the scenes to identify our Citizenship Award recipients. We audited contributions from beta through August 15, 2017 to identify the members who made contributions demonstrating the most outstanding effort and impact. We considered contributions, quality indicators, and engagement focused on helping the community improve.

Recognition Earned

In recognition of their contributions, Appreciation and Citizenship recipients will receive a beautiful Acknowledgement of Achievement via email. We hope you will display it with pride for others to see. We kindly ask for your patience as we prepare and send the certificates, we hope to have them all sent by the end of September. If you’d like us to use a different photograph than your current avatar, kindly reply to the congratulation email you receive, sending the new photo by Monday, September 11, 2017.

Be sure to follow the @SAPCommunity twitter account and watch for tweets that will help spread the word about our awarded members. On top of that, we will write a LinkedIn recommendation for all Community Award recipients.

Appreciation Award recipients will receive a hand-drawn caricature to help commemorate their community colleagues’ esteem for their contributions (details to follow). Sorry we couldn’t do that for the Citizenship Award winners – there are just too many!

If you will be coming to SAP TechEd 2017 in Las Vegas, Barcelona, or Bangalore, we want to hear about it — any recipients who attend will be further recognized on-site. We will give you opportunity to meet other valuable members from the SAP ecosystem such as the SAP Mentors and members from the Community Experience team. Details will be sent leading up to the events. (Please note that as has been the case in past years, we are unable to give our award recipients a free pass to SAP TechEd events.)
