BI + Analytics Conference – Nashville
Thanks to those who joined us for the BI+Analytics Conference in Nashville August 7-9. The presentations were focused on the practical needs of SAP BusinessObjects/BI/Analytics users, including insights from customers, hands-on training, and other ways to help to increase productivity and efficiency. In addition, the conference allowed attendees to collaborate with other users and experts in feedback forum sessions.
By attending this 2.5 day conference, attendees networked with hundreds of attendees, including SAP BI users and employees and also gained knowledge regarding a variety of technical solutions and products. Attendance at the SAP BI+Analytics Conference was a wise professional investment, paying off with streamlined practices, tested solutions, and a network of peers to call upon when troubleshooting.
The conference hashtag #BIAconf generated over 1700 tweets. We will try to repeat popular sessions as webcasts, if possible.

BI + Analytics Conference – Call for Speakers?
Next year the event will be held February 19-21 in Huntington Beach, CA. Call for papers is open
Members of the ASUG BI community are invited to submit session abstracts they would like to present at the event. This invitation is open to all customers, partners, and employees of SAP.
Benefits
Speakers receive:
- A complimentary full conference registration
- The prestige of joining an elite group of speakers
- Support and guidance from an expert track owner
- Recognition in the conference Final Program and on the Web site
What Topics Should I Submit?
Successful sessions are educational, practical, and actionable and don’t overload attendees with too much information. The goal of the sessions is to help them maximize the value of their BI/Analytics and their investment in SAP software.
What Topics Should I NOT Submit?
Feedback from previous user conferences shows that attendees do not want to be “sold to” and want to know more than just what other users are doing, they want to know why and, most importantly, how. The main goal for attendees is to take back practical knowledge that they can apply to improve BI and Analytics initiatives for their organizations.
What is the Committee Looking for in a Submission?
Topics should be educational, practical, actionable, and relevant to attendees.
- Speakers that are experts in their field and accomplished presenters
- Actionable takeaways for the attendees
- Clear, concise description of the proposed session
