SAP BusinessObjects Live Office is a BI tool that integrates Business Intelligence within Microsoft Office, allowing you to embed “live” information within documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Over the last several years, SAP BusinessObjects Live Office has used SAP Idea Place to collect product enhancement ideas from customers. There are hundreds of registered users for our Idea Place who have entered hundreds of ideas – many of which are solid product recommendations. Myself and the team  really appreciate the contributions from customers, partners and SAP employees over the last several years.

Fostering collaboration in Idea Place alone resulted in some great ideas. Few ideas rose to the top of the priority list, however, with a couple exceptions. Many of the ideas were equal in terms of votes and comments, making it difficult to use this forum as the place to generate the top priorities to act on. Given this, along with new influence programs at SAP, we have decided to close the Live Office Idea Place session to new ideas now and close it completely in October 2017.

The fact that we close the Idea Place session does not mean we stop listening to customer’s ideas. We are excited to focus more time and energy around SAP’s customer influence programs, especially the Customer Connection program. The Customer Connection program enables customers to work together on well-defined and scoped projects to improve existing products. These projects are customer-requested and they run for fixed periods of time where customer requests are captured, voted and where the top desired and most feasible requests are ultimately implemented. You can learn more about Customer Connection program here.

Your feedback remains highly valuable to us. Outside of the Customer Connection program, we look forward to hearing from you about how your company uses the product and where specific improvements could make a difference to your company. Please feel free to contact us.
