ENHANCEMENTS
Learn about new features and capabilities in the following.
Template Creator App
The new Template Creator App makes you independent from SAP's delivery of Business Content for scenarios following the Template Method like Solvency II, COREP, FINREP etc.
Instead taking the templates from SAP Software Downloads once available you can use the Template Creator App to produce the templates right after the release of a new regulatory taxonomy.
The app offers various options to make your templates tailor-fit:
- include or exclude VBA code that helps during data entry
- optionally generate sample data for your dry runs
- more options as shown in the screenshot below
Entry Point Activation App
All entry points for which Business Content is required need to be activated first using the new Entry Point Activation App.
During activation, you select a language for which an entry point is activated. Each entry point can be activated for exactly one language at a time and the “Template Creator App” will create templates in exactly this language.
Direct Access to SAP Help Portal
From DM Stack 1000, the question mark on the classic DM website is opening
SAP Help Portal, showing the latest available version of the User Guide for the installed Service Pack in the user's language.
It remains possible to customize it to link to a local file instead via "Administration -> System Configuration -> Misc -> Root folder for the webhelp".
IMPROVEMENTS
Better Security Algorithm for Logon Certificate Hashes
In case of a
new installation, the certificate used for the creation of logon tokens is now encrypted with the hash algorithm SHA-2: SHA512. Previously, SHA-1 was used. If an SHA-1 hashed certificate is required for compliance reasons, e. g. to meet FIPS 140, follow
SAP Note 2492524.
If you
update from an earlier DM Stack to DM Stack 1000 and would like to switch from SHA-1 to SHA-2: SHA256 or SHA-2: SHA512, follow
SAP Note 2471041.
Better Security Algorithm for User Password Hashes
A new "Password Hash Algorithm" parameter in "Administration -> Policies -> Password Policy" allow to choose from SHA-1 (standard prior to DM Stack 1000), SHA-2: SHA256 and SHA-2: SHA512. By changing the hash algorithm used to generate user password hashes you can make your application more secure.
Note: It is in the nature of things that a change of this setting causes a reset of all user passwords. See Security Guide for details.
US SEC Performance Improvements
Following optimizations of the database usage for Mapping Method scenarios, XBRL Creation is taking significantly less processing time in case of
- entry points being used by multiple reports while using larger sets of concepts
and/or
- footnotes
In both cases, you will experience a stronger improvement the more footnotes / concepts & entry point usages you have. A good example for a scenario that benefits strongly from this change is Filing to the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia.
Update From Any DM Stack in One Step
In the future, it will be possible to update DM SERVER - APPLICATION SERVER 10.1 from any DM Stack since DM Stack 1000. For example, if you are running an upcoming DM Stack 1002 and you want to update to DM Stack 1310, you will be able to do this in one single step. This saves a lot of time and effort as opposed to the previous update path, for example "1002 -> 1003 -> 1100 -> 1200 -> 1300 -> 1301 -> 1302 -> ... -> 1310".
An additional improvement is that the database remembers which parts of an installation have already been executed successfully. If you re-run an installation via the Install Tool, only parts of the installation that have not been executed successfully earlier will be re-executed.
